Guestbook and Guest Reviews

Perfect place, perfect location!

I am happy to write this review. This cabin has the perfect mix of rustic and modern. We've stayed in the Lake Tahoe several times of the last 37 years (we honeymooned there!)and this is the best place we've stayed. I've always enjoyed the more secluded North Tahoe area and Carnelian Bay in particular. Even though right off the main road, this cabin is back far enough to feel that "I won't be disturbed". Peace and quiet reigned! We plan a trip to Tahoe every few years, and this will be the first location I will check for availability! Thank you Pippin & Laura for providing such a wonderful place for our enjoyment of this great area!

Love this place!

Just returned after our third summer staying at The Greenleaf. I want to be selfish and not write a review because I'd like to keep it a secret and all to myself!! This is an absolutely fabulous vacation home. Neat, clean - all the amenities you could possibly need and just an adorable, cozy place. Fantastic front deck (and hammock). The location is perfect - walking distance to Waterman's Landing, Gar Woods, CB's Pizza and a short drive to the great little beach in Tahoe Vista. There's no need to stay anywhere else - this place is a gem!

We loved our weekend getaway!!

Greenleaf is a lovely, clean, cozy cabin that is nicely updated and decorated. It felt more like we were staying in someones home. The location was great for us.. we had a delicious breakfast @ the Old Post Office Cafe (2min walk), visited Kings beach (just a 5min drive), and went to Northstar for the day (20min drive). While at the cabin our group of 3 couples enjoyed snuggling up to the fire! Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect cabin for a Tahoe get away

This place is lovely! The location is great. It's off a main road, but we didn't hear any road noise. The house is clean, spacious, and well supplied with essentials. The rooms are very comfortable with plenty of closet space. The heated floors in the bathrooms were wonderful. We loved everything about this house and will definitely be back some day.

Perfect in every way!

We recently stayed at the Greenleaf Lodge and we loved it. The lodge was very clean, cozy and it has plenty of rooms to move about. The kitchen was well stocked with homey decors. The fireplace was the center of attraction and we took full advantage of it. Location wise the lodge was perfectly situated, away from the main street and only a short walk to both private and public beaches (across the street). It is 3 miles north of Kings beach and a short drive to the nearest Safeway. We loved our times at the lodge and would definitely love to come back soon.

The Perfect Long Weekend

Absolutely LOVED this place! This cabin was clean and cozy and had plenty of room for the 9 of us. The location is perfect, close to everything and walking distance to the Post Office Cafe and Garwoods. The amenities were plentiful and of high quality, along with the beds and bedding. We highly recommend this rental and will definitely be back!

Cozy & Comfortable

It was a home away from home. The cabin had all that was needed & many little extras like coasters on the nightstands. It was easy to unpack & feel like home as there was plenty of room to put away luggage & food. The heated bathroom floors were amazing even in June! The cabin was located in an ideal spot. Walk to the beach with dogs was across the street. Food & restaurants or hikes all nearby. thank you so much!

Truly a Home Away from Home

Our stay at The Greenleaf Lodge was such an enjoyable one. Upon arrival, all amenities were provided and readily available. Everything was so organized and clean. The interior of the cabin was tastefully designed, providing for a contemporary atmosphere while maintaining a rustic feel. One of my favorite features were the heated floors in the bathrooms; definitely kept us comfortable during the cold nights/early mornings. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities. There was even a Wii game console, DVD's, and numerous board games for the kids. Pippin and Laura really did go the extra mile to ensure that our needs were met; they were very responsive to our inquiries. Thank you both! The location of the cabin is ideal; directly across the street from the lake, and only minutes away from the supermarket, shops and restaurants. We had such a memorable vacation, we would definitely repeat our stay in the future. Pippin and Laura, thank you so much for your hospitality - it was a vacation we will never forget. Best regards, The Clark Family

Family X-mas

The cabin really suited our needs. It had 4 spacious bedrooms for hiding Santa's gifts. The heated bathroom floors were luxurious. We were delighted by the location just across from the lake. The decor and finishing touches were all very classy but still reflected a cabin feel. It was so well equipped with an abundance of everything you needed in the kitchen like table settings, cookware and utensils. The owners were very accommodating. They responsed to our queries in a timely way and even allowed us to check in early. The Old Post Office restaurant was wonderful for breakfast. Overall, we could not have been more pleased with our family X-mas cabin in gorgeous Lake Tahoe. We hope to rent it again.

Super Location to Stay at Tahoe!

We loved the convenient location of the Greenleaf. Summer traffic at Tahoe can be a bear sometimes, and being within walking distance of Patton Beach with watercraft rentals, three different restaurants, miniature golf, a convenience store, and more, was awesome. We would definitely recommend the Greenleaf!

Loved it at Greenleaf Lodge!!

The two of us and our two small dogs had a wonderful time during our week at the Greenleaf Lodge! The lodge is lovely, charmingly furnished and decorated, equipped with everything you need for a terrific vacation. Directions about where to find things, how things worked, and restaurant suggestions were outstanding. Our dogs loved the nearby off-leash beach and made lots of new friends, as did we. Being able to rent a kayak right down the street at Waterman's Landing was great - next time we'll try stand-up-paddleboarding. The french toast at Old Post Office Cafe, a 2-3 minute walk away, is the best we've ever had, and we also enjoyed delicious meals at Rustic Lounge, Gar Woods, and Soule Domain. The lake and the woods are incredibly beautiful and the whole week was very relaxing. The only thing that would make Greenleaf Lodge even better would be larger window fans to help cool the house down, and at least one screen door in the living room so that we could enjoy the breeze without having to worry about one of the dogs wandering off if we took an impromptu nap.

Greenleaf Lodge

My family enjoyed the cabin stay so much that we have booked another visit. The Greenleaf is a wonderful peaceful spot. The moment we pulled up the long driveway we felt like vacation started. The large deck and curb appeal of the cabin makes you feel welcome right away. The teak patio set is a great place to snack and peek at the lake ( via some pine trees). Once inside you feel the rustic charm of a true cabin. The wood throughout, and the cozy well stocked kitchen is just right. The cabin is appointed very nicely. The owners seem to have thought of any need you might have. The cabin is also very close to great beaches. Other nice touches included..... Spa towels, great games and excellent movies. A fabulous spot!

Loved our stay!!

Our family had a wonderful time at The Greenleaf at Tahoe! It was our first time in North Tahoe and it was so beautiful and serene. The cabin was adorable and well apportioned. We appreciated the many games, toys & movies that were available for us to use. Also, Laura was wonderful! She was always available when we had questions and responded very quickly. Excellent communication & just a super property to stay at. We will definitely recommend to family & friends and would love to return again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!! Grace & family

Very Comfortable and Perfectly Located

Nicely's evident the owners are concerned about guests' comforts, and we appreciated that. Homewood, Northstar, and Squaw (as well as Alpine Meadows, which we didn't ski) were quick and easy to reach; and you can thank US for bringing the snow! WOW! We also were at Heavenly in approx. 45 minutes...another awesome day (and the beginning of the return of the sun and beautiful views). A couple of very nearby eateries keep food/drink options simple. We had a wonderful 3-night stay, and would've enjoyed more!

John and Family Stay For the Snow Festival Parade

We all enjoyed the house with its comfortable atmosphere and decor. The beds were comfy and warm, the kitchen very well stocked for cooking and eating purposes. Fun games and movies to keep us busy too. Upstairs bathroom very nice and heated floors in there felt great when you used it at night:) We were up there to enjoy the snow-fest parade and polar bear swim at Gar Woods, which my son and son-in-law had fun doing. Your location was great for all that and oh thanks for letting us know about the Old Post Office Cafe, delicious food and drink. We hope to come back for another stay soon. Thanks again, John & All

Delightful Stay

I recently took a ski trip with some friends and stayed at The Greenleaf Lodge. It was just as pictured--comfortable, warm, and cozy--and located close to the slopes. The owners replied quickly and setting up the rental was easy. Would definitely recommend the house and hope to stay here again in the future!

We loved the Greenleaf Lodge!

My family had a great time staying at the Greenleaf. The cabin is very charming and cozy and easy to stay in. The location is really great. It was so easy to get to everything since it is on the main road but it is set far enough back that it felt very private. My grandsons had a great time sledding on the hill in front of the house. Our favorite part was being able to walk down to The Old Post Office Cafe for brunch since it is practically right next door. Overall we were very pleased with our stay here. The owners were helpful and friendly and everything was just as it looked like from the website. We definitely recommend and can't wait to come back!
